Winter Attractions in New England
The holidays in New England are lovely: fluffy snow, twinkling white lights, evergreens, and historic buildings. There are so many ways to celebrate, though of course our top recommendation is to call us at 603-666-0203 and book a Holiday Lights Tour with Grace! Travel through Nashua, Manchester, and Concord in a stretch limousine, sipping cocoa and seeing the lights.
Once the holiday season is over, though, the prospect of three or four or even five more months of winter in New England is daunting! Fortunately, our corner of the country makes good use of the snow and cold, offering plenty of fun events during these frigid months. Call Grace to give you a ride, and you won’t have to warm up the car or navigate those snowy roads.
- Ski Bretton Woods
Bretton Woods is the largest ski area in New Hampshire—but there is a lot more to do than just skiing. You can snowmobile, ice skate, snowboard, snowshoe, go on a canopy tour, or just sit in the lodge watching the snow fall with a warm drink. New England has many great ski areas, but Bretton Woods is a favorite. - Visit an Ice Castle
Lincoln, NH, is home to amazing illuminated ice castles every winter. They are truly magical at night. Just be aware—you need to be dressed very warmly. Put on your toastiest pair of socks . . . and then put on another pair.
- Skate on the Frog Pond
One of the most charming places to ice skate is the Frog Pond in Boston Commons. It was voted the best outdoor skating rink in the nation!
- Attend a Winter Festival
We recommend the 2019 Stowe Winter Festival in Stowe, VT. For 45 years it’s been a tradition, with fun events like an ice carving competition, a youth ice fishing tournament, and Snowgolf and Snowvolleyball tournaments. The upcoming festival runs from January 25-27, 2019.
With all of these opportunities to enjoy winter in New England, there’s no need to get the post-holiday blues. To schedule your next adventure, call us today at (603) 666-0203 or go online to book the perfect vehicle for your family and friends.
